Calling all professional bakers, artisans, pastry chefs, and bakery instructors! This is your opportunity to showcase your talent and compete for a place on the official United States team for the prestigious Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie 2028.
Organized by the Académie Culinaire de France USA & Canada in partnership with Lesaffre, the United States Selection will take place at the Lesaffre Baking Center in Piscataway, New Jersey, from September 1st to September 3rd, 2026. Competitors will demonstrate their expertise in Baguette & World Breads, Viennoiserie, and Artistic Showpiece, while being evaluated by an esteemed panel of industry professionals.
This prestigious selection is more than a competition—it is an opportunity to represent the United States on the international stage, showcase your craftsmanship, and join the ranks of the nation’s finest baking professionals.

The competition will take place at the Lesaffre Baking Center, located in Piscataway, New Jersey.
Candidates will participate in a professional-level baking competition designed to evaluate technical skill, creativity, organization, and craftsmanship. Following an official preparation day, competitors will complete a timed production focused on their selected category: Baguette & World Breads, Viennoiserie, or Artistic Showpiece. Throughout the competition, candidates will be evaluated by an expert jury on product quality, fermentation mastery, presentation, taste, technical execution, cleanliness, and overall professionalism. Competitors should expect a demanding yet rewarding experience that reflects the standards of international bakery competitions and serves as the pathway to representing the United States at the Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie 2028.
